Announcement: Asylum 2016

"Shades" has officially been given the go-ahead to exhibit work at the upcoming Weekend at the Asylum Steampunk festival in Lincoln this year.

There is a lot of work still to be done, but hopefully we will have a lot more interesting pictures and updates to show you!

Because of this, we are reopening our donations request - if you have any materials, costume pieces or props that you think may be of use to the project, have a look at the list below and please get in touch. You should only donate materials, costumes or props that you no longer need, as most of these items will be used, altered or adapted. The lists below are not exhaustive but give an idea of the things we are using right now. We will consider pretty much anything if we think there is a use for it, so please get in touch!

EVA Foam

Jewellery-making items

Glue

Paper, card and acetate

Craft and gardening wires

Faux flowers

Trims and ribbons

Make-up/stage paints/liquid latex

High quality, good condition wigs (all colours)

Victorian or Victorian-themed pieces

Steampunk pieces

Shoes

Generic blouses and shirts, all sizes

Generic skirts, various lengths

Ties and cravats

Hairpieces

Accessories, such as necklaces, rings, pocket watches (hey, we can hope!)

Prop swords

Prop/toy guns/crossbows/bows

A tall, prop scythe (we'd really like one of these for Don, and our actor is 6' tall!)

Faux candles and lamps
