Primarily finding note in Welsh/Cornish tales, LeFay is a goddess of the sea and protector of the Isle of Avalon. She was a healing goddess, and drinking water blessed by her would provide an instant cure for all ills. Scholars debate whether the "fay" in her name refers to faery, fate, or some blending of both. In some tales, she is named as the mother of Morgan Le Fay.
The LeFay costume design is currently being created and actioned by Lily, as she had already thought of the idea as part of a cosplay design. Lily's interpretation utilises Steampunk themes, as well as chain-maille and the traditional trident. She has explained that she intends to use blue and white shimmer organza to create a watery effect, as well as as crystals and pearls to give an added sea-themed undertone.
"LeFay may be a healer, but she is also a protector. She protects the Isle of Avalon, and as such, the body of King Arthur, so I decided to give her something of a warrior appearance," Lily explains. "I see her as something like a combat medic. She can take care of herself on the field, but spends her time healing others. So, she'll carry healing potions and suchlike, as well as her trident."
