After some months off trying to get life in general in order, I am going to begin the Shades Project properly by engaging in some "character" photoshoots in order to get back into the practice of staging photographs. The last time I did something like this was last November, when I photographed Julia for Clockwork Chronicle magazine's front cover and photo spread.
Getting back into it could be tricky, but I do have a lot of good people willing to help me.
These images would eventually be used as promotional pieces to draw attention to the kind of work I can do, while at the same time (hopefully!) bringing in the funding I need to get the Shades going good and proper. The photos will be based off of Steampunk "characters", either current punksonas or new creations, and will have a short blurb or story with each one to describe the story and background of the character/s in question.
So far, I am hoping to use Eira (see above image), from the magazine photoshoot (so long as permission is given!) and members of the Lincoln Steam Judges, as well as some outfits created by Joanna of Blue Lady Couture for this year's Asylum festival fashion gala.
When the shoots being to gain momentum, I will post more information!
Stay well
Charli
