About

Charli Anderson-Farrar

Born in Enfield, Middlesex, UK

Lives & works in Creswell, Derbyshire, UK

Charli is a British artist, photographer and writer currently located in the beautiful village of Creswell in the East Midlands. Born in Enfield, Middlesex, she grew up in a suburb of the small town of Cheshunt and as a young child she found words and pictures incredibly enthralling. While other little girls were playing dress-up, Charli was reading books, writing stories or making pictures with pencils and paint. It's probably no surprise then, that she became something of a wordsmith and artist at a young age. While she chose to focus on imagery in the form of photography as she got older, Charli always retained her love of words, and an active imagination.

When she graduated, Charli decided to stay in Lincoln, and worked for a while as a freelance photojournalist at Lincolnshire Life Magazine, for Photographic Synergy on a Temp basis in Hull and started her own photography and fine art company, Fair Visions. She has also previously undertaken photography work for Phillips Lighting Solutions, Rotherham News and the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce. In her own time, she photographed Enfield Ignatians Rugby Club during their 2009-10 season, with some of these pictures ending up in local newspaper, The Enfield Independent. Charli eventually moved to Derbyshire in search of new opportunities.

Charli is currently looking into writing a full-length novel, as well as a selection of informational books on "geeky subjects", such as RP for gamers. She is looking for new opportunities within photography and art, and is seeking new ways to expand her qualifications and skillsets.

Charli lives with her husband, Stuart; a grumpy old chinchilla called Velma; and a hyperactive husky named Skye.

In her free time, Charli likes to read, write and craft, as well as take part in adventure sports, such as climbing, caving, sailing and orienteering. She previously learnt to dance and received five medals in Scottish Country. She loves the idea of Ballroom dancing and would like to one day return to the studio to learn how. Charli is also fascinated with Japanese culture in its many forms, from food and fashion through to its myths and animations.

Charli is an active member of the Republic of Lorell RP community in Star Citizen, a partaker in online RP and tabletop gaming, and can also be seen getting involved at Cosplay conventions. She was previously an Admin for the Lincoln Steampunk Society and assisted with the Weekend at the Asylum Steampunk Festival. She is a supporter for animal welfare, disability rights, ME awareness and assistance for current and ex-servicemen and women.
