Where Next?

The past few months have been focused almost entirely on BritizenCon, a Star Citizen fan convention that took place in Manchester on April 21st. I was organising a display and table for the event, so it took up much of the time I would usually spend on creating and photographing. That being said, now that it's over, I do feel a certain emptiness - Post-Con Blues, I believe they call it.

So, the time has come for me to move on to my next "big" event of the year: The Asylum.

Morrighan Mk II is one of the options available in my latest Patreon Poll for $3 or more

The Weekend at the Asylum Steampunk Festival is a yearly event that takes place in the city I live, usually on the Bank Holiday weekend of August. For the past two years, I have been exhibiting "Shades" there, and the year prior to that I introduced the concept of Shades with some related images that led into it. Now, this year, I could potentially bring Shades back to the Asylum for the third time.

This morning I submitted the formal proposal to the Ministry of Steampunk for their consideration, and I really hope that they accept it because this particular exhibition is going to be my most ambitious yet! I am looking at expanding my current exhibition lineup to include more interactive features, models getting involved, songs, performances and some more tech-based exhibition features - that is, IF I get in and IF I can get the funds sorted in time! And to make it extra special, this year is the tenth Asylum, and is going by the title AsylumX! So it would be great to make an impact at this Asylum in particular!

Detail of Le Fay. While her outfits are finished, she still needs photographing

As part of the run-up, I have introduced a Poll onto Patreon to ask my Patrons what they think I should work on first. If you would like to get involved with this, the Poll is accessible to everyone who donates $3 a month or more. At current conversion rates, that's only a little over £2 a month! You also get access to other content not available to anyone else! So why not lend a hand?
